Eric Gilmore started his journey in radio at the age of 16 in his hometown of Detroit Lakes. He’s been on the airwaves in the Fargo-Moorhead area since 1999 with the majority of his time being spent in the country format. For the last 3 years Gilmore attempted to shake off the shackles of radio and experience a job in the “real world.” Lacking any and all skills to function in the real world he came crawling back to radio and joined the staff of Thunder 106-1. What drew Gilmore to Thunder 106-1 was the variety of music they play. “I grew up and became passionate about country music listening to the artists we play on Thunder 106-1. I’m happy Fargo-Moorhead has a home for the artists that influenced today’s up-and-coming country stars.” Eric and his wife, Kelly, spend all their time chasing after their 4 kids, neurotic Springer Spaniel and antisocial cat.
